“I’m inspired by missing women world wide unclaimed to themselves and thus their loved ones who are robbed of the opportunity to exalt their humanity in the flesh. This is to name the legions of women making the best of life on stolen land known as ‘the Americas.’ In my direct line sisters who speak Igbo, Fula, Hausa and Yoruba of West Africa to name a few many remain lost, dead or bound in sexual slavery. These voices have no vector to express their sexuality with safety. Too many black and brown women die alone. I use my voice as an expression of gratitude that I am free.”
