Erin Cherry is an Actor, and Producer who received her M.F.A. in Acting from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. She is also an Emmy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress for the role of Brenda on the Emmy Award winning hit show After Forever (Amazon Prime). Cherry has appeared in theaters across the country including Manhattan Theatre Club, The Guthrie Theater, Hartford Stage, Denver Center, New York Stage and Film, Capitol Rep, St. Louis Rep and more.
As a Producer Cherry has created her own interview show called A Sunday’s With A Cherry on Top, which is a talk show geared toward shining a light on hidden gems within Black culture (YouTube). She is also the Executive Director and one of the founding producers, along with Mfoniso Udofia, ChiChi Anyanwu, & Ngozi Anyanwu, of NOW AFRICA: Playwrights Festival, which was organized to illuminate dramatic African literature, and explore and excavate African artists and theater.
Cherry is an acting teacher & private acting coach at Maggie Flanigan studio in New York City and is an acting member of Ensemble Studio Theatre where she is also on the Board.
